Palo Cathedral was constructed on 1596, under the direction of the Jesuits who founded Palo in Cebu. It was used sometime for their residences. The cathedral was taken over by the Augustinian on 1768 and by the Franciscans on 1843. Then was repaired by Father Agustin de Consuegra who built the two towers on 1850. Then by Father Pantaleon de la Fuente who installed a clock on the facade on 1896. It was proclaimed as a cathedral on March 25, 1938 by First Bishop Msgr Manuel Mascarinas. It was also used as hospital on October 1944 to March 1945 by American Liberation forces.

This is around an hour land travel. You will find outrigger boats in Sabang that will take you on a 2 hour trip to Guijalo Port. With the absence of paved roads from Naga to Caramoan, taking the boat is the better option.

From Guijalo port is a 20 minute jeepney ride to Centro, the center of this town were one finds the church, market, eateries, shops, the hospital and the local municipal office within a two kilometer road.

Sabitang Laya, Tayak, Lahos and Matukad are the top island hopping destinations.

Since we are already at Benguet, we visited the famous Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad. There is a wide, wide field of strawberry. It also has a very nice setting, quite amazing. We didnt picked up strawberry there but instead we just bought the ones that is already in a basket. For 55 per kilo. Not bad really. I have known lately that during peak season, the strawberry cost as high as 150+ per kilo. But of course you can pick up the strawberry if you wanted too. You just have to pay certain amount.

Buruwisan Falls is located at Mount Romelo. and is found in the part of the Sierra Madre Mountain Ranges that belong under the jurisdiction of the municipality of Siniloan. It is one of the five falls known to the local residents, the others being the Guiling Guiling Falls, Lanzones Falls, Binaytuan Falls and Sebakon Falls. Most of these falls, however, are unexplored. Buruwisan Falls is the most popular among these falls because it is the most accessible. Some local residents claim that there are still a number of "undiscovered" falls in the area aside from the five mentioned.

There are two possible mountain trails to the site, Puting Bato or Pulang Lupa, the latter is a shorter route. It tkes two hours of strenuous trekking over steep grassy hills, rocky streams and muddy river beds, and of wrestling against the overhanging branches of the wild vegetation that abounds in the area, to reach the site. But, the "discovery" of Buruwisan Falls makes the trip worthwhile.

Buruwisan Falls has a more or less 50 meter drop. The water is clear and cool. The area around Buruwisan Falls, being virtually unspoiled, is ideal for camping. As a matter of fact, different mountaineering groups from different schools have pinpointed this area as an excellent training ground for neophyte mountain climbers and thus, conduct fun climb in this site.

Across the Buriwisan Falls is the Lanzones Falls. The rivers of the Buruwisan and Lanzones Falls meet at a certain point and form a bigger fall which is the Binaytuan Falls. The Binaytuan Falls has a more or less 200 meter drop.

Barasoain was originally part of Malolos until its official separation on August 31, 1859. In 1903, Barasoain became part of Malolos again. The old church constructed by Rev Francisco Royo was destroyed by fire in May 1884 but rebuilt by Rev Juan Giron in 1885. Barasoain Church was the seat of revolutionary congress which convened from September 1898 until February 1899 under the Presidency of Pedro Paterno. Among the important measures passsed by the Congress was the Malolos Constitution drafted by Felipe Calderon.

The Butterfly Sanctuary, inside Camp John Hay is the Butterfly Sanctuary, an eco tourism attraction. The entrance fee is P40 per head and P35 per head for a group of at least 25 people. According to the caretaker, the butterflies usually come out when it’s really bright and sunny and and hide when it is cloudy or it is too cold, so if you really want to see a lot of flying butterflies, it is best that you visit at lunch time or when it's hot and sunny. The caretaker also catched some of the butterflies and had our picture taken with the butterflies, on our face, nose, hair, or wherever we liked it. He even told and showed us the life cycle of the butterflies. It was a really nice and educational time at The Butterfly Sanctuary.

Black Island is a grey colored island that ahs all the trademarks of Busuanga, limestone cliffs. The big cave with natural pool of green colored water inside. We dipped into it and felt relieved by its soothing coolness. We explore the cave deep inside until lack of sunlight made us decide we had had enough and proceeded to the entrance, or shall I say, exit mouth of the still unnamed cave. Capones Island have one of the amazing view I had ever seen. Couldn't believe how beautiful the island is. Capones Island and Camara Islands lie a few kilometers from the shores of Pundaquit, Zambales. The Camara islands are 2 kilometers offshore and Capones is 3 kilometers farther Capones and Camara islands are known for their white beaches, speckled with colorful crushed coral. Clear turquoise waters held us spell-bound. High rock cliffs beckon rappellers. Capones is known for an old Spanish-era lighthouse that brings visitors back in time.

There are no resorts nor facilities on the island. Tourists usually stay at a resort in Pundaquit at Zambales, a small fishing village about 3 kms southwest of San Antonio where they can hire a boat to explore Capones Island.

If ever you want to rent boat going to Capones Island. It is just 200 php per head back and forth to Anawangin beach. The boat capacity is up to 12 pax but additional 50 php if you want side trips to Capones and camara Islands.

It is the second tallest lighthouse in the Philippines after the Cape Bojeador Lighthouse, which is in Ilocos Norte. Cape Bolinao Lighthouse has a sight which is simple and mesmerizing especially the ocean view.

Cape Bolinao Lighthouse is about 351 feet above sea level. The land elevation, according the Bureau of Geodetic Surveys, is 250 feet, while the lighthouse structure itself is 101 feet high. It has a large revolving lens. A system of gears turned by pendulum weights held by a steel cable, much like a clock, causes the light apparatus to rotate. Visibility from the lighthouse reaches up to 20 miles midsea towards a lighthouse at Poro Point.
